Oil rig towed through The Minch between the Isle of Skye and the Isles of Harris and Lewis on a calm and misty day. It always fascinates me how these things stay afloat.
I believe there are many different types and they float them to where they need to be and then anchor them to the sea bed. Amazing piece of engineering.
Are they permanently on these floats? Amazing.
